We would like to invite you to our Open Day on Saturday 11 May 2013 from 10.00am to 4.30pm, which will be held at Gerrards Cross near London. This would be a good opportunity to meet with our staff and to find out more about our latest activities.
Programme:
Dr. Abraham G. Thomas (picture), Director of CMC Ludhiana, has confirmed that he will be with us throughout the day and will be speaking about ‘What’s new at CMC?’ and ‘What can Friends of Ludhiana do to help CMC?’
Mr. Mark Speakman, Consultant Urological Surgeon, Taunton and Somerset Hospital, and Vice-President, British Association of Urological Surgeons, will be sharing his ‘First impressions of CMC’. He visited CMC in June 2012 for An Update in Urology taking ward rounds and giving lectures to the medical faculty, medical students and post-graduate residents, particularly in the management of prostate cancer; he will include his insights into urology / men’s health in general with an Indian bias.
Dr. Sunil Thomas, Consultant Plastic Surgeon with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and a CMC alumnus [Batch 1975], will be sharing about ‘Interactive training with CMC’ and opportunities that exist at CMC for UK medics to gain valuable training and experience in their chosen field of medicine.
A Skype session with CMC in the morning will allow us to speak with other CMC personnel.
Please invite your friends and family and let us know if you are planning to be present. Drinks will be provided throughout the day and you can share our Indian lunch for £10 per person.
