Dr Anish Chopra undertaking upper alimentary endoscopy
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10 v.10

The photograph is of Dr Anish Chopra undertaking upper alimentary endoscopy on a patient in the Endoscopy Unit at CMC earlier this year. Friends of Ludhiana has recently given about £45,000 to fund the provision of new up-to-date endoscopes with narrow-band imaging. This will help, amongst other things, to improve the resolution for identifying premalignant colorectal tumours.  The Gastroenterology department has made tremendous improvement in the quality of care being provided for patients and had the opportunity to provide much discounted or free services to the needy. The number of procedures done has increased exponentially and new quality Olympus endoscopes will shortly be purchased for the department enabling them to provide the highest quality patient care at a par with international standards.
